A champion is someone who inspires, pushes and supports their teammates. When victory comes, it isn’t just the champion who wins, it is the entire team. The J. Bradley and Connie Aust Champion Award was created to recognize the personal commitment and distinction of those who champion the cause of people with special needs.
This award is named after J. Bradley and Connie Aust, whose efforts to go above and beyond set a precedent for RMI to provide the highest level of service and provision of resources, allowing individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve greater independence, participating fully in the community at large.
J. Bradley and Connie Aust were among the seven families who had a vision for Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc. back in 1982. They wanted to create independent living options for their child.
