Semi-Independent Apartment Living
RMI's Semi-Independent Apartment program gives adults with developmental disabilities the ability to live in the community with more freedom and more responsibility than is possible in the Medicaid-funded programs. Residents in this program lease their own apartment and pay their own expenses. They may choose to live by themselves or share an apartment with a roommate.
At Barrington Oaks, Dove Manor and other apartment communities in San Antonio, RMI residents work, play, shop and worship with others in their neighborhoods. With ongoing support from RMI staff, residents are able to meet the everyday challenges of independent living.
