Foster Care &
Supported Home Living

Host Home Companion
 (Foster Care)
HCS Program

Adults with developmental disabilities can choose to live in a foster home with a family member or other individual as their foster care provider. RMI contracts with the foster care provider to assist with daily living skills, personal care, transportation, and other activities that allow the client to live as independently as possible in a safe and supportive environment. Funding for foster care is covered by the Home and Community Based Services (HSC) Medicaid program. Individuals who do not qualify or are waiting for HCS funding may private pay to live in a foster home.

Supported Home Living
HCS Program

Individuals with developmental disabilities can get support services that allow them to live as independently as possible with their family or in their own home. RMI staff provide assistance with housekeeping, meal preparation, medication, personal care, transportation, and other independent living activities. The time spent providing services each week is based on the needs of the client and their family. Supported Home Living services can be funded through the Home and Community Based Services (HCS) Medicaid program. Individuals who do not qualify or are waiting for HCS funding may private pay for these services.

Semi Independent Apartment Living

RMI's Semi-Independent Apartment program gives adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the ability to live in the community with more freedom and more responsibility. Residents in this program lease their own apartments and pay their own expenses.  They may choose to live by themselves or share an apartment with a roommate.
